    Choose your state and name

Check similar names, state LLC naming rules, and trademarks. No matching records does not guarantee name availability.

    Appoint a registered agent

Your LLC needs an agent with a physical address in the state who can receive legal documents during business hours.

  3. 03

    File your formation documents

Submit articles of organization through the official state portal. Confirm current filing fees and any additional requirements before paying.

  4. 04

    Prepare an operating agreement

Document ownership, management, and how profits are shared. Requirements vary by state.

  5. 05

Does no match mean the name is available?

No. Similar names, name reservations, and state restrictions can prevent registration. The state makes the final decision; check potential trademark conflicts too.
